Carl Dickens is a multi-talented, multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter from Australia. A long-time listener to Alan Watt of Cutting Through the Matrix, I am always delighted to hear little “Alan-isms” in Carl’s lyrics. His wordplay is a delight; I was excited to hear his latest, and happily share it with you.
I did a Real History episode with Carl in July of 2024, and I was so inspired by his story and his music, that the night after we recorded our conversation, I awoke in the wee hours knowing exactly what movie footage would work at the beginning of the video (Carnival of Souls, 1962), got out of bed and went straight to work on editing.
