Charlie Kirk has died.
Conservative commentator and Trump supporter just died from a gunshot to the neck he received less than three hours ago.
I watched a movie with Alan years ago called Eagle Eye. It was about the overreach of the surveillance state but it featured a young man coming to grips with the death of his brother who was a good American, in the way we’ve been taught since childhood was good. An officer in the U.S. Air Force, he was working at the Pentagon when he was killed. His twin brother must piece together what is happening with the Pentagon’s new supercomputer gone rogue and clear his brother’s name. At the end of the movie, the surviving twin has triumphed and he attends a ceremony with his father where his brother was honored with full-dress military personnel the American flag.
When the flag was presented to the deceased soldier’s father, tears came to my eyes. Something deep inside of me responds to all the visual cues of what it means to be an American, a pride instilled in me since toddler days when we were trained to stand, hand over heart, facing the American flag. “I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
I commented to Alan that I understood that the movie had manipulated me emotionally. I told him that I understood what he long talked about: that we’re international until it’s time for our cabal to drag us into another war for reasons that we’ll never be told, but always include resource acquisition. Then, when they need young men to go ‘over there’ we’re a proud nation again. Alan said, “It’s primal. Love of the country you’re born into.”
Today less than three hours ago on 10 September 2025, one day before my fellow countrymen will memorialize the 24th anniversary since 9/11, conservative media personality and political activist Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck while speaking at his “American Comeback” tour event. Just over an hour ago, 4:44 PM EST he was declared dead.
I’ve been sitting at my desk working on a CTTM book club video and news alerts and messages are beeping at me, as usual. When I saw that he had been shot, I called my younger brother. He is a conservative. He had not heard but he was not surprised. He spoke of the stabbing of a twenty-three year-old Ukrainian refugee, Iryna Zarutska, that happened 22 August, and reports that the black man who stabbed her said, “I got that white girl.” My brother said that on the social media platforms he follows, there was outrage over the stabbing and the fact that the mainstream media had failed to give the story any coverage.
When I got off the phone with my brother, I realized I felt profound sadness, and I was near tears. I understand that Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA organization was quite likely a major contributor to Trump’s election outcome, that Kirk was spotted in 2018 by a wealthy businessman named Bill Montgomery who heard Kirk speaking at an event, mentored him, and funded Turning Point USA and its sister company Turning Point Action. His events have featured a who’s who of politicians, political activists, and media commentators including Glenn Beck, Tucker Carlson, Roseanne Barr, Mike Lindell, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Tucker, Carlson Tulsi Gabbard, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
I knew as soon as I saw video of Charlie Kirk being shot that it was unlikely he would survive. I kept a close eye on the notifications. Two hours ago, Candace Owen tweeted, “Everyone please stop what you are doing and pray for Charlie Kirk. Please.” I did.
A broken heart emoji accompanied her last tweet of an hour ago, “I can’t process this.”
I do not like being emotionally manipulated and I do not like the political theater we’re fed daily, while players way above left/right politics carry on their ancient and evil agenda, but I fully empathize with Candace Owen. I cannot process this.
Alan Watt called Covid-19, 9/11 Part Two. Operation C was the event that would finish the job of the outrageous erosion of freedoms we suffered after September 11, 2001, under the guise of keeping us safe.
This was the Redux I posted from September 15, 2021:
Slick Formalities of New Normalities
And the Not Sure that accompanied it, highlighting the ways our emotions and basic human decency are manipulated.
Earlier that year, in May I posted a three-part series of talks from Alan Watt. I edited these from several talks and the series was designed to highlight that what happened on September 11, 2001 signaled a new phase of this war on us, We the People.
9/11 Was the Kickoff - parts 1-3
I cannot process the murder of Charlie Kirk and so I write. Charlie Kirk was a Christian, a Republican, a Trump supporter, a man who daily declared his love of his country and his deep concern for the problems he saw. Charlie Kirk was 31, he was happily married to his beautiful wife, Erika, who he married in 2021. They had a daughter born in August of 2022 and a son born in May of 2024. His wife and children were with him at today’s event.
So sad.

I wasn't a fan of Mr. Kirk, however, this is never the way to 'even' things out.
This is Michael Yon's immediate take on this assassination. I recommend listening to it in its entirety.
